Stencils
Montreal Stencil was founded in 1875 as a manufacturer of stencils and stencil supplies. We are one of Canada’s largest stencil manufacturers. Our products were originally cut by hand. As technology advanced in the mid-1900s, we began producing our stencils with a pantographic engraving machine. For many years now, we have been using computerized engraving and milling machines to produce our stencils. More recently, we have added laser engraving machines to our stencil production equipment.
We can produce text and logo stencils. Our technicians are experienced in converting logos into designs that can be cut into stencils. We have the knowledge required to take a complex logo and transform it into a stencil that retains maximum detail.
There are three types of materials we use for stencils: waxed paper, Mylar (polyester), and aluminum. Each has its own advantages. Our staff can determine the best choice for your application based on the size of the characters, the surface to be stenciled, and the number of prints to be made.
Montreal Stencil supplies the consumables for stenciling. We have both the stencil inks and applicators you will need to complete your stenciling project.
